Characteristics and application fields of LG modified pp

 1. High gloss PP

Because high-gloss PP materials have excellent aesthetic effects and excellent appearance, they are mainly used in home appliance parts, automotive interior parts, juice machine motor inner frames, etc. For LG Chem, this is also one of its strengths. 2. Glass fiber reinforced PP

After PP is reinforced with glass fiber, its mechanical properties can be doubled or even improved several times. With the improvement of tensile strength, flexural strength and flexural modulus, the mechanical strength is completely comparable to ABS and reinforced ABS products, and is more heat-resistant. Generally, the heat-resistant temperature of ABS and reinforced ABS is between 80℃~110℃, while the heat-resistant temperature of glass fiber reinforced PP plastic can reach 140℃~157℃. It can be used to make home appliance components and has obvious advantages compared with ABS products.

In addition, it can also be used to manufacture the inner tub of high-speed washing machines and the base of pulsator washing machines to meet their high requirements for mechanical performance. At present, LG Chem's most commonly used reinforced modified plastic PP with sufficient supply is LGP2200 and LGP2300 materials, which have the characteristics of high heat resistance and 20% glass fiber.

3. High temperature resistant PP

PP material has the best heat resistance among the five general plastics. The heat-resistant modified PP material can withstand high temperatures and has a wide range of uses.

LG Chem's heat-resistant PP grades include GP1000FC, GP1007FC, GP3200, and GP3300. The material has the characteristics of heat resistance, high rigidity, scraping, and large bending modulus. It is mainly used in electric kettles, coffee machines, rice cooker lids, coffee machines, and heating. appliances, electric irons, dishwashers, microwave ovens and other small household appliances.

04. High impact PP

PP ultra-high impact PP has ultra-high performance. In the past two years, it has been used in major automobile brands to produce automobile bumpers and automobile dashboards.
