Recently, a large yogurt cup manufacturer contacted us - their yogurt cups had an odor problem, and they hoped that we could provide them with a solution. We recommended two low-odor PPs to them for testing: Wanhua EP548R and SABIC FPC707. The test results of these two low-odor PPs are as follows:

1. Low odor comparison: Under the same cooling time and placement and the same packaging, the odor of sabic FPC707 is relatively lower than that of EP548R.

2. Price comparison: The market price of SABIC FPC707 is relatively high compared to the price of Wanhu EP548R.

3. Market supply situation: The current market supply situation of Wanhua EP548R is not very stable, but sabic FPC707 has a mature production line, specially provided for customers who produce cheese packaging, food packaging application, frozen food packaging, ice cream containers, yogurt containers Made of low-odor PP raw material.

4. Physical properties: The melt index of EP548R is 30. Currently, the injection molding machine cannot produce complete products at 220 degrees Celsius, so the temperature needs to be increased to achieve normal processing of complete products. The melt index of SABIC FPC70T is 70, and it can produce a complete and qualified product at a temperature of 210 degrees Celsius. If temperature is a factor in odor, then the warmer it is, the stronger it will be.

Food Grade Reporting: SABIC FPC707 has low taste transfer properties and comes with FDA food grade reporting.

In addition, our company analyzed the masterbatch currently used by customers and found that there is a problem. The base material of the masterbatch used by customers is PE, which cannot meet the requirements of food-grade low odor.
